UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE: Now everything is back to what is was previously below...

The next race is with the Marion Lions Club for there Nationally known Fish Derby, this Saturday! This is typically our last race of the year, but who knows! We are planning to race Sunday with WKSRA at the Manawa Snodeo after being canceled out last weekend due to the warm weather. As of this moment, both location have good ice measuring 18+ inches. We will see what Mother Nature has in store for us - KEEP AN EYE ON YOUR EMAIL for the latest updates! As always, make your decision on ice conditions. No matter what happens, lets make the last race(s) the best and a REAT TIME for the kids!

ARE YOU SKI LOOPS PER ISR RULES??

TO ALL MEMBERS OF WKCR:
Last weekend, while we were teching 340's, it came to our attention that 340 sleds that have USI old style skis loops are mounted on the wrong side of the ski, as dictated by ISR rules. We understand that these old style USI skis came this way originally, but they do need to be modified and corrected to protect the tip of the ski. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE! The loop is to protect someone from falling on the ski or if the sleds were to hit another driver on the track, protect against the ski jabbing into and injuring someone.
A snapshot of the ISR rules is attached to this email, for reference. See the complete rules for all the rules.
Please also note that many of these skis appear on 120 sleds also, so the same rule applies to you. KITTY CAT sleds with metal skis also need to be correct per the rule.
This rule has been in effect for some time, but has not come to our attention, as the USI skis were made this way. Unfortunately they need to corrected for safety.
ISR is aware of this situation.
Sincerely,
Chris Mokler
